School Introduction

Burleigh Heads Language Centre is a private, accredited ELICOS English College offering a range of academic and General English programmes to students from all parts of the world.

Our school is located opposite one of the world's most famous surfing beaches, Burleigh Heads and is in the heart of the main shopping and business centre of Burleigh Heads on the beautiful Gold Coast, Queensland. Burleigh Heads lies between Coolangatta and Surfers Paradise and offers a wonderful National Park where you can see fabulous scenery and a range of wildlife as well as more great Gold Coast beaches.

With accommodation within walking distance to the beach, school and main shopping area, our students can study, live and enjoy the fantastic lifestyle of the Gold Coast.

ESL Program Introduction

Our Intensive General English – ELICOS course is designed for students who wish to improve their English skills, use English both accurately and fluently and gain communicative efficiency and confidence in all skill areas with levels from Beginner to Lower Advanced.

Our Business English course is designed for Intermediate plus students who wish to improve their English skills within a business context for career purposes, for further study in Business area and also students preparing for the Cambridge BEC Exams -Business English Exams.

Our 12-week Cambridge First Certificate Preparation course is designed for Intermediate plus students who wish to prepare and take the Cambridge First Certificate in English Exam and is also suitable for students who wish to improve their English skills at a high and more formal level.

We also offer holiday courses in English PLUS Surfing or Body Boarding, English PLUS PADI Scuba Diving License and Countrystay programme.

Our school has an excellent Homestay placement service with most of our Homestays in walking distance to the school and beach. We also help students find other types of accommodation and rentals.
