Founded in 1858 Melbourne Grammar has long been at the forefront of education and has a long tradition of academic excellence. The School is committed to being one of the world's leading teaching and learning institutions by offering young students the finest education. Melbourne Grammar is co-educational in the primary years and a boys’ school in the secondary years. Grimwade House the Junior school is set in 3. 3 hectares of leafy grounds in Caulfield. The Senior School and Wadhurst the Middle School are located in South Yarra opposite the Royal Botanic Gardens. We aim to attract students with a wide range of interests and give them a diverse educational experience. Our curriculum is broad and challenging designed to help students explore their own identities and strengths. A high staff-to-student ratio supports top quality academic teaching pastoral care social and spiritual development and our extensive co-curricular program. The School has a teacher/student ratio of 8: 12 at primary level and 4: 9 at secondary level.

Grimwade House - Primary School

Grimwade House is Melbourne Grammar’s co-educational campus in Caulfield for primary students. Grimwade House provides a friendly and family-like atmosphere and the emotional support that produces resilient and confident young people. Facilities include shaded playing areas anew theatre assembly hall aswimming pool and gymnasium sports oval tennis courts chapel science laboratory and specialised music school.

Wadhurst - Middle School

Wadhurst is Melbourne Grammar's purpose built learning community in for boys in Years 7 and 8 adjacent to the Senior school campus at South Yarra. Wadhurst offers excellent curricular and co-curricular programs designed to educate 11 to 14 year olds and smooth the transition from childhood to adolescence. Experienced male and female teaching and administration staff have a deep understanding of adolescents and work in partnership with them and their parents.

Senior School

Melbourne Grammar's Senior School day and boarding students enjoy the most up to date learning facilities housed in historic bluestone buildings. Highly qualified and experienced teachers offer a challenging educational program both core subjects and a wealth of choice in extra-curricular activities on and off campus. Life at Senior School is designed to help students become self-reliant capable young adults able to navigate the challenges of tertiary study and vocational choice.

Boarding

Year 7 and 8 boarders live in Creswick House - a home away from home graceful Victorian house overlooking the Royal Botanic Gardens. Perry House and School House are for boys in Years 9 to 12. Because of the central South Yarra location boarders have access to outstanding facilities on and off campus. Weekdays are hectic with classes sports training Homework excursions and games. On weekends the boys have Saturday competitive sport then often relax in front of an in-house DVD go to the movies the city ten pin bowling and other activities or events. They make the most of their close proximity to the School's swimming pool gymnasium and tennis court complex. Visits out to family and friends are encouraged. Overseas boys share experiences with Melbourne Grammar School day families on long weekends.
