School Introduction

Skinner Creek ESL Wilderness Adventure Guest Ranch is a unique program designed for international students. Each student will experience wilderness adventure activities combined with an intensive English program.

Skinner Creek is located in the heart of British Columbia. It is a beautiful place, surrounded by high mountains, sparkling lakes, thick forests, and flowing riviers. All programs can be modified to suit each group or individual.

ESL Program Introduction

Students who come to Skinner Creek have the opportunity to learn English in an environment different from a regular school. English classes are designed to meet the academic and conversational levels of each student, with approximately 15 hours of class time per week. Students are challenged in: writing, reading, vocabulary building, grammar and conversational English.

Students will also be introduced to many new outdoor adventure activities. Horseback riding lessons and mountain trips will be daily. Other activities include boating, fishing, hiking, animal viewing, mountain biking and more. All activities are taught in a safe environment and all equipment is supplied.

Housing/Accommodation Info

All housing is located at the ranch. Students can choose between staying in the beautiful Log Lodge or in one of the new modern log cabins. Full bathroom facilities located in each cabin.
