School Introduction

The Language Cafe des Langues is a french and english language school in the french alps. We are nestled in a tiny village in the beautiful Savoie region with Italy only 20 minutes away. The school is an hour and a half drive from Grenoble, Lyon, Geneva and Turin airports. There is an international railway station with access to all TGV on their way to Italy. We are surrounded by three ski resorts and therefore have easy access to both winter and summer sporting activities, such as skiing, snow-shoe touring, snowboarding, hiking, rock-climbing, via ferrata and so much more.

ESL Program Introduction

We offer basic immersion courses and combined language/sports immersions courses or language/cultural activity immersion courses for adults and children. Our courses last a week including five days of lessons and at least forty hours of conversation in the target language. All students are lodged with their teacher and her family making the course a 100% immersion course in the chosen language. Groups are small, no bigger than 4-6 students at a time ensuring maximum individual attention and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Tuition:
1 week intensive immersion course with accommodation 30 hours: 750 euros
1 week half-day immersion course with accommodation 15 hours: 600 euros
1 week combined language/sports immersion course with accommodation: 990 euros
1 week combined language/cultural activity immersion course with accommodation: 850 euros
Executive courses: estimation on demand

Application fee: 30 euros
Without accommodation and meals: subtract 400 euros from each fee

Housing/Accommodation Info

Our students are normally lodged with their teacher however if a student prefers to lodge elsewhere and has signed up for the half-day immersion course we can put him/her in touch with families offering alternative apartment accommodation.
