Profile |
Campion School is a private international school located in the greenbelt of Pallini in spacious premises. The school offers an education in English to boys and girls of all nationalities, races and creeds between the ages of three and eighteen. The school is a lively community in which staff enjoy an informal yet professional rapport with students, and where the relationships between the students are warm and friendly. The international character of the school ensures that students from fifty countries are represented, and the resulting cosmopolitan mix gives the school ample opportunity to foster tolerance and understanding of different cultures in the spirit of harmony and co-operation.
On entry to the Middle School (Years 10 & 11), pupils continue with English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and P.E., choosing four more subjects to suit individual tastes, while maintaining a balanced curriculum. At the end of Year 11, all students take IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) examinations, set by the University of Cambridge.
Students entering the Upper School (Years 12 & 13) are accepted onto a two-year IB Diploma course At the end of Year 12, all successful students are entitled to the Campion Diploma, a formal statement of the completion of 12 years of secondary education.
Most students choose to continue their education in the UK, where the IB Diploma programme is well regarded. Preparation classes for Scholastic Aptitude Tests in Maths and English are scheduled for students wishing to study in the USA.
A full extra-curricular programme is on offer throughout the school.
Admission is based on the assessment of academic records and a personal interview.
