ESL Program Introduction

We offer a wide range of English Language Courses for adults.

Our school (Cork English College International) is located in the centre of Cork City and is easily accessible by many different bus routes.

The school is specially equipped for E.F.L. training and the building itself has been purposely refurbished to allow the highest standard of English Language Training.

Our teachers, who are all university graduates with T.E.F.L. qualifications, have vast experience in the field of English Language Teaching. We are a recognised teacher training centre and we use the most up to date materials and methods in our classes.

The average number of students per class is 6 and the maximum is 10. On arrival, each student is graded by test and interview so that progress can be carefully monitored during their stay with us. Before arrival each student is also asked to complete and return a "Needs Analysis Questionnaire" to ensure that the course content matches individual linguistic needs.

Housing/Accommodation Info

Homestay Accommodation: This type of accommodation is arranged on a half-board basis from Monday to Friday with breakfast and an evening meal and on a full-board basis during the weekend. All of our families have been hand selected and visited by our representative. Homes are selected on the basis of a friendly atmosphere, good food and clean comfortable surroundings. Houses are located in good residential areas. Only one student of the same mother tongue is placed with each family We also offer single rooms in Residential Apartments. The self-catering apartments offer an excellent opportunity for the students to practice their English with students of different nationalities. The apartments are located only 15 minutes from the school by bus.
