School Introduction

School Description: Established in 1993. Located in Dublin City Centre, the school has become known for its high quality courses and accommodation services. A wide range of business, examination and general English courses are available throughout the year designed exclusively to the needs of adult learners.

The Horner School offers you the opportunity to meet and experience the people and culture of Ireland, we organise an excellent social programme throughout the year. At least two activities are organised each week.

School building / location: The Horner School of English is located in a Georgian style period home, on one of the most prestigious streets in the centre of the city. The school is within walking distance of the main bus routes, train and tram stations, two beautiful parks, St. Stephen’s Green & Fitzwilliam Square and the main shopping area, Grafton Street with its numerous shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.

There are 17 modern classrooms, a coffee shop, a city garden, a computer room and a library. During the Summer months the school also operates centres within a short walking distance of the main school.

ESL Program Introduction

A language travel vacation in Ireland presents to you the possibility of having an intensive look at the English language and culture. Find here a a wide-ranging programme of high quality English language courses offered all year round in Dublin, Ireland.

Courses are held at Beginner, Elementary, Lower Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels. On arrival students are given a written placement test, a listening test and following an interview, are placed in the class most appropriate for their level. Students progress is monitored very carefully throughout their stay.

Class groupings and teaching methods are planned to allow students to integrate easily and make progress quickly. At the HSE you will learn to communicate with confidence.
