School Introduction

Yeats Language School established in June 2007, is situated in Sligo on the North West coast of Ireland. On the banks of the Garavogue River, Sligo is a beautiful and idyllic setting for a language learning experience. With a supportive management structure, teaching team and office staff, YLS can provide tuition for a range of courses from General English to English for Specific Purposes.

The purpose built year round school provides high quality tuition for a diverse mix of students from all over the world. Our Adult courses operate year round, while our International Junior School programme for students aged 12-17 years runs from June to August. ESL Program Introduction

Situated in the heart of Sligo town, Yeats Language School offers a range of full and part time English language courses to meet your specific needs. Our adult English courses operate throughout the year with students’ ages ranging from 18 years upwards. the International Junior School Programme operates for the summer months for students aged 12 to 17 years. We also offer junior courses throughout the year in closed groups.

Our courses vary from General English (15hrs per week) to English for Specific Purposes (3hrs to 22.5hrs per week). We offer both full and part time options in all our courses. Courses are organised into 90 minute lessons with a maximum class size of 15 students. Adult courses can be booked to start every Monday (except where holidays are indicated). For courses of one week’s duration or for complete beginners, please contact the school directly as there are limited starting dates for these courses.

Schedule & Fees

Students can join our English courses every Monday (with the exception of bank holidays and 2 weeks during Christmas). Fees vary depending on the course taken. Regisation fee of €50 is charged per student.

General English: 09:30 to 13:00 Monday to Friday (10 lessons, 15hrs per week)
Intensive English: 09:30 to 03:30 Monday to Friday (15 lessons, 22.5 hrs per week)

Housing/Accommodation Info

Yeats Language School works primarily with host families. YLS students are provided with a friendly family atmosphere in our host family accomodation. They are well looked after and treated as a member of the family during their stay. Our families provide students with a setting which enhances their language skills as they are completely immersed in an English speaking environment. A well balanced and varied diet is provided to all students. Host family accomodation consists of a single or double room and access to a shared bathroom. During the week, students are provided with breakfast and an evening meal. Full board is provided on Saturday and Sunday.
