School Introduction

The DLTC is based in the centre of the beautiful seaside town of Dun Laoghaire just 20 minutes from Dublin city centre in Ireland. Located on the seafront, the school has maginificent views of Dublin Bay and Dun Laoghaire harbour.

6 bus routes serve the school all stopping directly outside the school and the DART (suburban rail) station is only 200 metres away.

Dun Laoghaire has a wonderful and varied atmosphere. On the one hand, it is a lively commercial centre with two shopping centres and a main street of busy shops with, in addition, a seafront that boasts lively seafront cafes, bars and restaurants. On the other hand, Dun Laoghaire is the place where people from all over Dublin will come on a Sunday afternoon or a summer evening to stroll along the promenade or the piers of Dun Laoghaire harbour.

During the summer, Dun Laoghaire hosts a 3 day long World Culture festival which attracts hundreds of thousands of people and every June the seafront all the way to neighbouring Sandycove comes alive to celebrate Bloomsday - the day made famous in James Joyce's Ulysses.

ESL Program Introduction

The DLTC offers a range of academic EFL programs. From full-time (20 classes 9.20am-1.00pm Mon-Fri), part-time (2 nights per week 7.15pm-9.15pm), or private one-to-one intensive courses. Social activities are arranged on certain courses.
