School Introduction
My Language Institute – MLI offers English Language Programs to non-English speaking students residing in the U.S. and all over the world. The student body is formed of students from different countries, all of whom come to the U.S. to experience and exchange diversified cultures, traditions and languages.
MLI offers intensive and semi-intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) courses with a unique method, and is a licensee of a world-wide language school SpeakYourMind, which currently has licensee schools in Brazil, Italy, Japan, Poland, Russia, Spain and USA. MLI also offers Business English, TOEFL preparation, and Business Information Technology support courses. Courses are available all year around.
MLI’s main learning center is in Falls Church, Virginia. Falls Church is a historical city located 6 miles (10kms) west of Washington, D.C., featuring quick access to renowned museums and art galleries in nearby Washington, D.C., via East Falls Church and West Falls Church metro stations and several bus routes. The city is one of the safest locations in Washington, D.C., with almost every neighborhood offering a variety of local attractions, restaurants, and shopping malls in a way that reflects the City's great ethnic and cultural diversity.
ESL Program Introduction
MLI utilizes SpeakYourMind method, that is a ‘smart’ learning methodology, with which the students are enabled to learn English more fluent and effectively in nearly half the time and effort as they would with conventional methods, as offered by most other schools.
‘Speak Your Mind’ method is the most effective way of learning English as a Second Language among all those available in the market. The idea of ‘Speak Your Mind’ is that students need vocabulary and grammar to be fluent in English language, which are both integrated into each lesson. However, grammar is not introduced as a set of rules to be memorized, but instead as a part of the natural flow of speaking using repetition and expansion. As students are able to pronounce/use words and grammar while speaking, writing and reading components reinforce what the students are learning orally and audibly. By its nature, the program focuses on speaking and thinking in English as its core, followed by essential practice with comprehension and compilation of the language.
MLI's ESL programs consists of five levels; Beginner, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced. Each level is covered within a maximum of 160 hours / two months. Completion of intermediate level lets the participants meet English proficiency requirements (TOEFL paper based test - 550 points; TOEFL internet based test - 79 points) by most U.S. universities.

Application fee: $40 for international students to enroll in our intensive classes (20 - 25 hours/week). For all others, waived.
Housing:
Homestay- $195 one-time application fee, $1, 075 (4 weeks, breakfast and dinner included)
Room share - $100 one-time application fee, $750+ (4 weeks)

Housing/Accommodation Info
MLI provides assistance in helping its program participants find housing through its expert business affiliate in the form of homestay, room rental/share, apartment rental or hotel stay. MLI also provides airport transfers free of charge to its participants at the start and end of their program, as needed.
