Weekly Painting Workshop
For beginners
and
intermediates,
this programme
introduces
students to the
fundamental
aspects of
painting
including
composition,
tonal modelling
and paint
application,
using acrylic or
oil paint.
Students will
be introduced to
a variety of
established
artists who work
within
still-life,
landscape and
figurative
approaches, to
both increase
their
understanding of
visual language
and to inspire
their own work.
Students are
encouraged to
develop
individual
expression and
their own
painting
approach,
narrative and/or
theme. etc.
Weekly Drawing Class
Join the Hungry
Creek students
in the life
drawing room and
share the
challenge of
drawing from a
live model.
Using a variety
of approaches,
students will
increase their
visual
awareness,
observational
skills and
understanding of
form. Students
will learn to
use a variety of
traditional and
contemporary
materials to
develop their
drawing and mark
making skills.
Ceramics
For beginners
and intermediate
students alike,
this workshop
offers
introductory and
advanced
techniques for
building objects
with clay
including hand
building, wheel
work, glazing
and firing.
This class is
an opportunity
to utilise our
ceramics
workshop under
expert guidance
to build and
fire your own
ceramic pieces.
Explore the
alchemy of
turning clay
into something
beautiful.
Weekly Jewellery Workshop
This programme
is designed for
students at any
level of
jewellery making
ability. The
class will help
you refine your
technical &
practical skills
to create
finished pieces
of jewellery.
Techniques in
metal finishing
and stone
setting will be
taught, with
full access to
our jewellery
workshop.
Students will
be able to
complete a
series of
jewellery
assignments or
work on personal
projects.
Weekend Jewellery Part 1
An introduction
to the
fundamental
skills of
jewellery
making, sawing,
soldering,
filing and
shaping.
Students will
complete simple
rings, earrings
etc.
Weekend Jewellery Part 2
This workshop is
for students
that have
attended our
previous classes
and want to
continue with
their jewellery
work or start on
something a
little more
challenging.
Beginners Evening Jewellery
This 6 8 week
class provides
an introduction
to the
fundamental
skills of
jewellery
making. Sawing,
soldering,
filing and
shaping.
Students will
complete an
introduction to
simple rings and
earrings.
