Great beaches, excellent surf, good cafs and bars and you can reach any part of the city in a short time by bicycle.

A warm climate its just about always sunny (okay, it does rain sometimes) and with summer temperatures often reaching 30oC its referred to as the California of the South Pacific.

Its a landscape of sandy beaches, blue Pacific surf, golden vineyards and fruit laden orchards and its where a rich mixture of Maori and European cultures grow side by side.
