School Introduction

North West Academy of English established in 2003 caters for international students wishing to study and develop their English language skills. The Academy offers an excellent range of English language courses suitable for all levels.

We provide a ‘one-stop shop’ for all of our partners handling every component of the project. We look after the arrival, induction, language, accommodation, travel, social programme, food allowances, work placements (when applicable) and airport transfers.

The North West Academy is located in Derry which is in the North West of Ireland. The city is the fourth largest city in Ireland and has a population of 110, 000 people. It is situated 2 miles from the border with Republic of Ireland, and 75 miles from Belfast.

The North West Academy guarantees the best support and supervision possible, for all our students, during their stay in Northern Ireland. We realise how important it is for our students to enjoy their time here and to make the most of their experience.

ESL Program Introduction

There are a variety of English language courses on offer at the Academy. All courses include a variety of teaching techniques which will allow you to learn and improve your English in a supportive and relaxed learning environment.

We aim to provide our students with an excellent English language learning experience which allows them to practise and develop their English in an authentic and communicative context.

Housing/Accommodation Info

Students have the choice of staying in homestay accommodtation or in a private house or flat. All accommodation used by the Academy is of a high standard.
