School Introduction
PEC is situated on the beautiful beaches of Puraran on the island of Catanduanes in the Philippines. Puraran is famous worldwide for it’s majestic waves and surfing. The school and student dorms sit only 30 meters away from the ocean! The island of Catanduanes is famous in the Bicol region of the Philippines because of its white sand beaches, palm trees, gorgeous scenery, and surfing. The beach of Puraran is a cove that faces the Pacific Ocean, which looking east offers beautiful sunrises. PEC presents a truly one of a kind English learning experience.
ESL Program Introduction
At PEC our goal is to increase knowledge, confidence, and fluency! We believe that learning should be fun and adventurous. The English classes combine lectures; Activity based learning, and Action learning. Students are required to attend 4 hours of classroom English each day. There is a vigorous 2-hour session every morning and afternoon. During the classroom session’s students will be required to participate in numerous English learning activities. Each English lesson begins with a brief lecture then moves into engaging activities.

Cost:
14-day session: *Single-person sign up – 510, 000won or $450 USD. Valid until October 14th, 2012!
What’s included:
-English lessons: 4 hours daily classroom English lessons with native English speaker. 40 hours total classroom time. 100% English environment outside of class.
-Two, 30-minute private 1:1 English lessons with native English speaker
-Lodging in shared dorm room

- Day trip around Catanduanes to caves, beaches, waterfalls, and Spanish churches. Lunch is provided during this day trip. -Banca Boat day trip to surrounding islands and coves. Lunch is provided during this day trip.
-Cooking lesson with native Filipino. If you wish to join we offer free cooking lessons where students can learn to prepare cuisine in authentic Filipino fashion.
-Internet access on location
-Swimming lessons for those who cannot swim
-24/7 Beach access
-24/7 exposure to native English speakers staying at the resort. 14-days of fluent English speaking.
-Activities: Beach Volleyball, Nightly Bonfires, Card Games with native English speakers, Pool Table, Ping-pong Table, Coconut Bowling, Snorkeling, English movies, and many more!
What’s not included:
-Flight/Transportation to the island of Catanduanes (Virac/San Andreas)
-Leisure Expenses such as alcohol and shopping
-Clothes washing. A service is available for students but this cost is not covered by PEC.
