School Introduction

The Bay Language Institute is situated in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and provides top quality English tuition, including preparation for various exams such as IELTS, TOEFL and others. We run regular groups for students wishing to improve their English, and also offer language courses tailored to specific customer needs, and combined with activities they enjoy – from exciting excursions and sporting possibilities to sunny beach holidays. ESL Program Introduction

BLI offers students a unique opportunity to learn English in one of Africa's best cities, in an area rich in English settler history. Our courses focus on skills improvement, and we combine them with various excursions and activities. We place a strong emphasis on communication, and offer a variety of special packages and tailor-made courses. Groups are small, and fun.

For prospective pilots, the Eastern Cape, with South Africa's three biggest flights schools and excellent flight training conditions, is the ideal place to get their English up to the required ICAO level 4. BLI has just launched a 4 week course specifically geared to this.

All prices are based on weekly sessions. Discounts available for group bookings and bookings of more than three weeks. Regular weekly starts.
One-on-one/Individual tuition:
€ 22.00 per hour
One-on-one Business:
€ 27.50 per hour

Aviation English (four weeks, 100 hours, minimum 3 students)
25 hours per week - € 1000.00 / US$ 1500.00 per student

Business Groups (minimum three students):
20 hours per week - € 180.00 per student/week
25 hours per week - € 220.00 per student/week

General English Groups (minimum three students):
20 hours per week - € 150.00 per student/week
30 hours per week - € 220.00 per student/week

Preparation for IELTS (minimum three students):
20+5: € 190.00 per week


Language Safaris are priced on request, depending on number of students and season.
