School Introduction

LAL Cape Town was etablished in 1993 and moved to bigger and better premises in 2007. Set in the heart of fashionable Sea Point, the centre is just a short drive to the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain and city centre, and only five minutes from the famous Clifton and Champs Bay beaches.

The centre has 30 spacious classrooms, a large student lounge with a big sreen satellite television, free wireless internet access, a great entertainment area with fooseball table, pool table, bar, swimming pool, barbecue and garden area.

You can book day tours, car hire and get information on local places of interest at the Social & Activities Desk.

ESL Program Introduction

LAL Cape Town offers different types of courses like General English (20 lessons per week, morning or afternoon), Intensive English (30 lessons per week, 20 lessons General English + 10 lessons conversation classes), Business English (20 lessons General English + 10 lessons Business classes), Long Stay progrmames as well as private tuition.

We do also have special programmes like English & Safari (after or prior the course), English & Wine, English & History and English & Golf.

LAL South Africa organises Young Learner Programmes for students between 14 and 18 years old. Those programmes include course, accommodation, full board and activities.

Housing/Accommodation Info

LAL Cape Town has 2 school residences, our main residence is located on the same premises as our school, the second residence is a 5-minute-walk from the school. We provide different types of rooms for the students, single rooms (private and shared bathroom available); twin rooms (private and shared bathroom) and dorms (there are 4 students in a room with a private bath). Please note that these rooms are all due to availability.
