School Introduction
Albany Language School is located in the very heart of Cardiff, not far from the famous MiIlennium stadium, the Castle, The Civic centre, the shopping centres, bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants.
Cardiff is a very green city with many beautiful parks and lakes. There are three rivers and the Cardiff Bay area. The city has a water taxi service, as well as excellent buses and trains.
At Albany Language School we use only professional teachers who have been University trained. They use the communicative method which ensures that students have plenty of opportunities to express themselves in order to improve their spoken English.
At the school we have a livley social and educational programme which gives everyone the opportunity to meet new friends and to practice their English.
We offer work experience placements for those coming to Cardiff who would like to find work or further their profession. We also offer advice on how to find a job in the UK and how to study at a higher level, either in college or at University.
ESL Program Introduction
We offer a Spring and Summer General English Programme from March to October in which the students will concentrate on developing their oral skills.
We offer an English plus Work Eperience placement programme which helps the student develop his or her work skills, English for the working environment and which can also can help their future career opportunities
We run TEFL courses (Courses in how to Teach English as a Foreign Language). These courses can be full time, part time and in a variety of formats from Distance Learning with teaching observations and practice, to Workshop schemes, as well as full time, class based programmes.
These courses are available only to either Native speakers or highly advanced non native speakers of English.
Small group tuition 1 - 4 students and one to one classes in General English are held all year round
