School Introduction
City School of Languages (CSL) is an English language school in the centre of Swansea, Wales. Founded in 2006, the school has rapidly progressed in size and scope over the last four years. We are constantly coming up with new and exciting ways of improving students’ learning, as well as helping them get the best from life outside the classroom. We have a team of excellent teachers and helpful staff, and being a small school means there is a friendly, comfortable atmosphere, allowing us to take a personal interest in our students’ well-being.
ESL Program Introduction
We have a variety of programmes to suit all needs. If you would like to work on all your English language skills, choose our General English course, but if you want to focus on an upcoming exam, then Academic English / Exam Preparation is for you. Maybe you want to study for a short time in the summer? Then have a look at our Summer School or for the over-40s, our unique 'Silver Course'.
If you are hoping to study at university, our International Foundation Programmes help you reach the required English level, as well as give an introduction into studying in the UK. Our IFPs are run in co-operation with Swansea Metropolitan University, which means you can study a degree in one of three pathways once you have completed our course: Business, Information Technology or Engineering.
If you are a teacher and want to improve your skills, then we offer Trinity DipTESOL and Teacher Refresher courses. The DipTESOL is for native / fluent English language teachers who want to broaden their knowledge and further their skills, and the Teacher Refresher programme is for those who wish to learn more about English language teaching here in the UK.
