School Introduction
HELLO English is a specialist English language homestay provider. We offer a range of on-line, special interest, intensive and longer-stay courses - from conversation to IELTS and Cambridge programmes.
Our teaching is usually 1-to-1 or in small groups of two or three students. We encourage students to live, talk and think in English whilst they are with us, so that they benefit from a total immersion experience.
We are based in Moseley, an attractive residential suburb about 20 minutes (train/bus) from Birmingham city centre.
Opposite our house is Swanshurst Park, a large open park popular for walking, jogging and cycling – or just for relaxing and enjoying a picnic by the lake.
Behind us, Moseley Bog forms part of the Shire Country Park that provided the inspiration for the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, written by JRR Tolkien, who lived nearby.
Close by, Moseley village is busy with shops, cafes and restaurants. It features an award-winning monthly Farmers Market, and hosts summer jazz & folk festivals that attract thousands of visitors from all over the country.
Nearby, Stratford-upon-Avon (home of national playwright William Shakespeare) is a pleasant 40-minute train journey from our local railway station. Picturesque Henley-in-Arden is worth a visit for its shops and architecture, and always for its ice-creams.
We are within easy reach of the historic towns of Worcester, Warwick and Shrewsbury, or, for a slightly more energetic day out, the picturesque Malvern Hills.
If you would like to explore a bit further afield, the train journey from Birmingham to Oxford or to London takes about 1.5 hours.
ESL Program Introduction
We are very experienced teachers of English up to and offer a complete range of programmes, including conversation, TOEFL, IELTS and Cambridge courses.
Our programmes are personally designed with you in mind. When you contact us, we will work with you to design an English course that meets your needs and helps you to achieve your own specific goals. We offer four main packages: Online, Intensive, Homestay and Local.
HELLO Online allows you to purchase packages of online English support or video-lessons on Skype. This service offers low-cost face-to-face tuition without you ever leaving home.
HELLO Intensive offers a perfect preparation before an important conference, keynote or business presentation? This homestay option delivers 12-18 hours of intensive support and tuition in one weekend, so that your English is at its best before you start the week.
HELLO Hmestay. If you choose our HELLO Homestay option, you will learn 1:1 with your personal tutor in a totally English-speaking environment.
Our HELLO Local non-resident courses are taught 1-to-1 or in small groups. We will always try to help you to organise your studying around your work commitments.
Your visit shouldn’t just be about studying, so we are happy to organise a wide range of cultural trips and leisure activities.
Specially themed courses are available to follow a particular interest: whether, for example, gardening, art, local history or theatre.
