School Introduction The Essential English Centre is a modern and exciting English language and communication school based in the centre of Manchester.
We aim to provide the very best in English language and communication training. We offer courses in General English, Business English, IELTS Preparation, CAE, FCE and PET. We also deliver more specialised programmes, including courses in Accent Reduction, Life Skills and Employability Training.

ESL Program Introduction
General English : Our general English courses are designed for students who wish to develop their overall general English skills. Classes focus on reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as grammar. All levels are catered for, in groups or one-to-one lessons.
IELTS Preparation: IELTS is the International English Language Testing System, designed to assess the ability of non-native speakers of English. It is accepted in most native English academic institutions and professional organisations, including UKBA. There are two types of IELTS exam, General and Academic. Most universities in England require an Academic IELTS score of 6.5 or higher. Our IELTS programmes will develop the essential techniques required for the exam, ensuring that you are well-prepared. Take our complete IELTS Preparation courses, or choose the areas that you wish to focus on.
Essential Accent Reduction: Do you have difficulties being understood? Do you wish to speak with more clarity and confidence? If so, we can help. These courses are designed for people who want to develop their vocal skills by reducing their accent and creating an influential, understandable and engaging voice. These classes are for native and non-native speakers of English who want to unlock the power of their voice and use this as an effective tool at work and at social occasions.
Essential Life Skills: This course is designed to assist non-native English speakers in handling the more practical aspects of life in England. On this course, students will learn how to successfully approach situations relating to employment, housing, finance and culture.
Essential Employability Skills: It is often a challenging task searching for a job in a country that is not your own. Designed for non-native speakers of English, this course will provide students with the essential skills required to increase the opportunity of securing employment.

Schedule & Fees
The school is open all year round, except for two weeks at Christmas and Easter. Our courses are very competitively priced, starting from £8.27 per hour.
