Sherborne International has gained an unrivalled reputation for providing the very best start to British independent education for children from overseas.  Through a carefully supervised programme of study, students gain a sound working knowledge of the main British curriculum subjects, and each is prepared for any appropriate public examination: GCSE/IGCSE, IELTS or Cambridge English Language examinations. Sherborne International records very impressive IGCSE results year on year.  Classes are small "“ a maximum of 8 students.  All teachers are experienced specialists in their own subject, and also have additional training in teaching the English language.  Most are qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language as well as their own subject qualifications.  Teaching facilities include modern classrooms and equipment, 8 science laboratories, a computer centre and a library with Internet access.  Sherborne International uses the extensive sporting, musical and theatre facilities of Sherborne School, including a 25 metre indoor swimming pool.

There are five boarding houses, where almost all students live in single or twin bedrooms, most with washbasins. There are two rooms with four beds for the younger girls in the girls' house.  All the off-campus boarding houses have their own internet access, whilst the senior boys use the excellent on-campus internet facilities next to their own boarding house. Weekends and evenings are well structured with organised activities, sports, and local excursions. Sherborne town centre is within easy walking distance of Sherborne International and students may visit the town after school and before the evening meal each day.

During the Main Term (September "“ June) teaching begins at 0830h and ends by 1615h on Monday to Friday; on Saturday teaching begins at 0830h and ends at 1215h.  Two afternoons per week are dedicated to sports and/or activities. Sherborne International also runs intensive courses during both the Spring and Summer vacations. These cover IGCSE/GCSE revision programmes and intensive English language courses.

Sherborne International has its own catering staff to prepare imaginative menus, usually following a traditionally British style, although many meals have an international theme.  There is plenty to choose from at all meal times "“ breakfast, lunch and dinner "“ and so there is always something to suit all tastes.  Students may also keep dry foods in their rooms, and all boarding houses have small kitchen areas.

The small classes, highly qualified teachers and quality accommodation mean that the school must charge realistic fees - £12,500 per term during 2014/15 "“ to include tuition, accommodation, meals, laundry, books and primary health care. There are some extra costs such as uniform, accommodation during shorter holidays and examination fees.
