School Introduction

Serving the Washington, DC area international community since 1991, English Now! offers English language courses for students of all levels.

We take a distinctive approach to English language study. To ensure that each student benefits from personalized instruction, class sizes are very small. Our group classes enroll a maximum of six students, and many classes are even smaller.

We offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere to a wonderfully diverse set of students from around the world. In the past four years, over 1100 students from 85 different countries have studied with us. We hope that all of our students feel at home during their time at English Now!

ESL Program Introduction

English Now! offers group classes and private lessons during the day, evening and on the weekend. Our group classes enroll a maximum of six students per class. Students enroll for four-week sessions (see our website for schedule).

Our Intensive English Program meets Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm. Other group classes meet twice per week for 90 minutes or two hours each day, or every Saturday from 9:30 - 12:30. Private lessons can be scheduled anytime and can even be provided offsite.

Many of our students are professionals at Washington, DC-area embassies, the World Bank, and the National Institutes of Health. Given our experience serving these students, our curriculum is very strong in Professional English related to Business, Finance, IT, Law, and Medicine.

Schedule & Fees

Intensive English Program: Classes meet for four weeks, Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm. For High Beginner level students and above. (Beginner-level students should enroll in our special classes for Beginners.) Tuition is $700 for a four-week session. This includes books (if you are comparing with other schools, please check the other schools' policies regarding books, which can cost as much as $80 per month).

Group classes: Other group classes meet twice a week for 90 minutes or two hours per session. Tuition varies based on the class. Check our website for details.

Saturday School: Every Saturday from 9:30 am until 12:30. These classes are on-going and can be joined at any time. Tuition is $180 for four weeks or $320 for eight weeks.

Private lessons: Personalized attention, with flexible hours. Tuition is $39 per hour for classes taught at English Now!; $50 per hour for classes offered offsite.

There is a one-time registration fee of $40 for your first class at English Now!
