School Introduction
Welcome to WordWide Language Centers where we teach English for world peace in Ocean Beach, an internationally friendly community of San Diego. All WordWide classes are immersion based with nine students or less maximum. We teach all levels of English and are skilled at teaching total beginners through technical and advanced.
WordWide ESL Institute teaches English (ESL) to all the world's peoples whether already in the United States or coming to our school from other lands. This school is authorized under United States Federal Law to enroll non-immigrant alien students (SEVIS).
We teach our students in a way that allows them to be successful in speaking English for the rest of their lives. With individual attention to each student, our students consider our school a second home.
We are located four blocks from the Pacific Ocean and 24-hour surf and swim zones. Our Institute is part of our small beach town (inside a big city), and we and our students regularly take an active role in local festivals such as the Ocean Beach Street Fair, Fourth of July Fireworks off the OB Pier, volleyball on the beach, picnics and the Ocean Beach Holiday Parade.
Our Guest Speaker Series invites local business owners and a documentary movie producer to visit our students. This is really fun for our community, our ESL and TOEFL students and for world peace.
ESL Program Introduction
WordWide ESL Levels 1 through 6 is a Certificate Program that takes approximately 17 months to complete. Our ESL Certificate Program includes six levels of intense English courses that fully covers conversation, grammar, reading and writing. We are immersion based and concentrate on the correct use of grammer for communication in business and college. You may enroll any Monday. WordWide's very thorough placement test will place you in the correct small group of nine students or less to save you time and money. You learn very rapidly and very well in our classrooms.
Our TOEFL Levels I, II and III are also strong immersion courses with nine students to each ESL instructor. WordWide TOEFL courses are designed to teach for higher test scores to enter the best United States colleges or universities, but we also teach conversation, listening and writing skills in our TOEFL program to allow our students to be very successful English speakers. A TOEFL score is required to enter TOEFL III.

Schedule & Fees
WordWide ESL Insitute maintains 10-week start dates, but students may enroll by placement test any Monday and are not charged any extra tuition. Students who start before the official start date will need to purchase a second book for the level you advance to according to our start dates. Please note, some start dates change by five weeks due to our small class sizes and our ability to work with individual students' needs. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Scheduled 10-week Session Start Dates:
October 26, 2009 - December 7, 2009 (mid) - January 22, 2009 (10 weeks)
January 25, 2010; April 5, 2010; June 14, 2010; August 23, 2010; November 1, 2010.
ESL Certificate Program Sessions are 10 weeks each and requires approximately 17 months from total beginner to TOEFL bound.
TOEFL I, II and III are 10 weeks each. A TOEFL score is required to enter TOEFL III.
Tuition:
$1750 (10 weeks), $875 (5 weeks), $195 (1 week)
Application Fee: $100
Housing: Approximately $700 - $950 per month.

WordWide Homestays are $750 per month (28 days, Sunday - Saturday) are are usually in fantastic but quaint homes near the beach. Application Fee: $250 one-time Homestays include breakfast and dinner, laundry and laundry soap, TV and internet in an American host family. WordWide Stays also includes alternative housing: $760 per month for a downtown San Diego residential hotel that includes weekly maid service (Please be certain to contact us for this special discount). We recommend this and have a special arrangement with them, because it is where a lot of business people in San Diego live. Beach Area Bed and Breakfast, rates vary by season. A language vacation above ocean cliffs and just a few blocks away. Beach Hotel and Motels are also available and rates vary by season. The Ocean Beach International Hostel is one of our favorite places for the young, restless and fun, and their prices are around $25 per night, depending upon the season. AYH-HI have one hostel a few blocks away and another in downtown San Diego, approximately 27 minutes away from OB by bus. We will also assist students who choose to stay in their own apartments or flats.
