ESL Program Introduction

English as a Second Language (ESL) at the Arizona Language Center combines the best of traditional methods with more recent approaches to make learning English stimulating, motivating, and effective. It provides a foundation in the structure of the language, gradually building students' understanding of the basic grammar, vocabulary, and functions of English. We believe in using a clear approach to grammar.

English instruction is based on the belief that an understanding of the grammar of English is one of the key enabling skills for language students.

Student Books - Integrated skills work in every unit
* The reading and listening activities contextualize and bring together language introduced previously.
* The choice of interesting topics together with manageable and motivating tasks ensure students develop important listening and reading skills, and fluency in speaking.
TOEFL Test preparation, IELTS test preparation One on one, individualized study course. Student assessment to predict strengths and weakness and work to improve each test area in 18 hour course modules.
BUSINESS ENGLISH Customized intensive course of two weeks each.
