School Introduction

Established in 1982, Washington Baptist University is a community based school, located in Fairfax County, Virginia, an area recognized for its top performing schools and rich history. WBU draws individuals from all over the world because of its distinct location outside of Washington, DC and reputation as a growing university. WBU maintains its prominence in the local and international community by offering students programs in theology, business, and language. ESL Program Introduction

The Lingua Franca Institute reflects the University’s commitment to delivering a Comprehensive English Language Program (CELP) conducive to higher learning and fostering cross cultural understanding. The language institute provides intensive grammar, reading & writing, pronunciation, and media courses to help students develop, strengthen, and integrate English skills within their daily experiences. WBU’s experienced teachers, flexible schedule, vast resources, teacher-student ratio, small class sizes, and generous course offerings allow students the opportunity to advance their English Language Skills. Future applicants will be pleased to find experienced faculty, a diverse student population, and an engaging curriculum to enhance students’ experience.
