School Introduction
SDUIS has designed an Intensive English Program to offer international students an opportunity to expand their knowledge in English Language. This comprehensive program can meet student needs at all levels of English proficiency, from beginners to advanced levels. Our ESL serves international students who wish to improve their English skills . This program can be useful to working professionals and to students preparing for University study or professional programs in the USA.
San Diego University for Integrative Studies (SDUIS) offers a unique opportunity for those with the courage and intellectual curiosity to seek their path within an environment of truly humanistic values, principles, and attitudes not found in a mainstream university setting.
SDUIS programs acknowledge and include training in psychology, Eastern and Western approaches, language and communication, literature, science, the arts, business, and computer applications. As part of SDUIS, the Intensive English Language Program allows students enrollment in university classes and participation in many SDUIS students' activities.
ESL Program Introduction
At SDUIS Intensive English Language Program you will learn American English, using the most current textbooks, tapes, videos, computer programs and other teaching materials, taught by the most experienced instructors. We want you to get the most out of your stay in San Diego. The IEP curriculum is designed to ensure that you make the quickest possible progress in your studies. We will meet your needs, whatever your level, by encouraging and challenging you to practice your English all the time. At SDUIS we enforce an English Only Policy to encourage all students to only speak English while at the school.
Classes available are ESL, Conversation, Business English, TOEFL, Cambridge Preparation Class, Free Conversation Class.
NEW PROGRAM STARTED IN 2010: TESOL class: A certification program for the purpose of learning and understanding Teaching English as a Second Language. Course includes general teaching principles and techniques, philosophies, psychologies, troubleshooting, class preparation, focused learning, time management skills, and "hands-on" training credits obtained through a designated practice class.
