School Introduction The Northwood Community English Language Program is located on the University of Michigan's north campus. The program provides an enjoyable and educational program for non-native speakers of English four semesters per year.
ESL Program Introduction
The Northwood Community English Language Program offers English as a Second Language instruction to Northwood residents as well as non-residents. Classes for adults, school-aged children and teens, and preschool children are offered throughout the year. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced level courses are available. Course topics include English for everyday life, conversation, grammar, pronunciation, and a variety of others. The classes, which are conveniently located on North Campus, are small, reasonably priced, and taught by experienced professionals. Class participants can also become familiar with the local area and U.S. culture by joining field trips and social activities as well as by meeting with Conversation Partners who speak English as their first language.
