School Introduction

Ashland Univesity, located in a beautiful rural area sich is very good for studying and for making friends, has strong programs in both graduate and undergraduate studies. Founded in 1878, AU offers nearly 70 undergraduate majors, an Associates degree and graduate degrees in Business and Education. Ashland University is nationally recognized for a number of its programs and also its services, including top national ranking for its food service. International students can participate in all university activities and clubs and can have special "Friendship Families, " who invite international students into their homes for meals and visits. You can stay in university housing with American students. Ashland is located close to Cleveland's two largest cities, Cleveland, and Columbus, and within a day's drive of many of the most famous cities in the United States, including Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C.

ESL Program Introduction

ACCESS is a year-round, 4-level intensive program taught in 7-week sessions. The program offers academic preparation with a special focus on American culture together with structured opportunities to interact with Americans. ACCESS facilities feature state-of-the-art technology. ACCESS is a part of Ashland University, known for its strong programs in business, education, and the humanities, in Ashland, Ohio. This small city is safe, beautiful and friendly. You will receive personal attendion, with a real "accent on the individual" from each of your experienced, caring instructors. Students will participate in weekly activities and trips and will also participate in the "Discovery" program, vmixing culture learning with informal interaction with Americans. ACCESS students will also have a "Friendship Family, " who will invite them to their homes for visits and occasional dinners.
