School Introduction

Learn or practice English while living in the home of an American English teacher. Our friendly and comfortable house is located in the rocky foothills of Chatsworth, a nice San Fernando "Valley" town in the heart of southern California. We are 30 minutes from any Los Angeles tourist destination. This program is designed for one student, a couple, or two friends. Home Away From Home is an enriching housing alternative, which promises a unique and intimate way to experience the American culture.

ESL Program Introduction

This program is geared for people who would like to incorporate a personally tailored curriculum for ESL, and/or for people who would like to incorporate activities not listed in guidebooks. Become the member of the family for 1 to 4 or more weeks and learn to speak like a native. Students develop their abilities in all areas of language, including speaking, listening and comprehension. What makes us special is the daily experience of living with an American teacher who wants to share her way of life. This host family will introduce you to their unique brand of the American culture and involve you in family life as well as invite you to participate in social events and holiday activities. Who chooses to learn English in a homestay? Those individuals who want the feeling of home when they have to be away from home! In addition, students choose homestay because they find that their English improves dramatically by conversing and sharing activities with their host family.

Beverly has owned and operated her own business brokerage business for (3) three years. Prior to owning her own business, Beverly also has a professional background for 6 years in Human Resource Management & Project Management working with many start-up organizations in technology, serving as a key member to management teams and senior executives. Currently, Beverly teaches a hands-on business English course at a foreign language school located at the local state university.
