Study at Suffolk University


Suffolk University, or SU, is a private university located in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. It was founded in 1906 by Gleason Archer, Sr. as the Suffolk School of Law. SU expanded during the 1930s and started offering liberal arts and business programs. The university also offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse Course Topics. The university is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • Suffolk College of Arts and Sciences
  • Suffolk University Law School
Suffolk University fields more than 30 varsity sports teams. Their official mascot is the Ram and the sports teams are known as the Rams. Some of the notable alumni are Thomas J. Lane, U. S. Representative from Massachusetts; Dan Harrington, world renowned poker player; and James Bamford, journalist and author.
