Court Reporting Institute was established in the late 1970s with the single-minded goal of providing education leading to a career in court reporting and the school’s focus remains the same today. While the school original campus is located in Dallas, there is now an additional campus in Houston. Additionally, students can opt to earn their credential through a 100% online program.

The school has been accredited by the ACICS (Accrediting Commission for Independent Colleges and Schools). Court Reporting Institute is also approved by the National Court Reporters Association.

Course Topics

The school prides itself on its sole focus of training its students for court reporting careers. Court Reporting Institute is one of the few schools that confers an Associate’s Degree in court reporting to its graduates.

Court Reporting Institute Admissions

The sole educational credential required for admission is a high school diploma or a GED equivalence. An interview is not required but recommended. Students seeking their degree online must possess a properly equipped PC along with other equipment.

Students who qualify may be able to receive federal financing (i.e., grants, loans, scholarships, etc) of their education at Court Reporting Institute. To demystify the process, the school employs experienced financial aid advisors to help enrollees obtain aid.
