Skagit Valley College is a two-year community college serving Skagit, Island and San Juan counties in northwest Washington State. It was founded in 1926. The college offers academic transfer degrees, technical degrees and certificates in diverse Course Topics. There are several clubs and organizations on SVC's campus. The athletic teams are nicknamed the Cardinals and they participate in a wide variety of sports. The Cardinals are members of the North West Athletic Association of Community Colleges.
