NORTHLANDS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Northlands' aim is to educate young people to the full extent of their
individual potential, so that after completing their Schooling they will
feel capable of pursuing their life choice with responsibility, commitment,
satisfaction and joy. Our goal is that our students become individuals whose
integrity and moral values will lead them to choose freely what is right.
One of the hardest and most important decisions that a parent has to make is
to choose the adequate school for his/her children. Northlands considers
that each new student entering the School represents a mutual long-term
commitment between the institution, the student and the family. This is a
demanding relation for each of the parties, but provides unique and lifelong
benefits, both for our students and for their families.
To ensure that this commitment may be mutually fulfilled, the School has
set up different guidelines for the admission of its students. We hope that
through our rigorous admission process the applicant families as well as the
School may obtain the required information to determine if Northlands is the
adequate School for the applicant.
Kindergarten Education
NORTHLANDS offers an all-embracing curriculum that works on
physical, social, emotional, intellectual, ethic and aesthetic
aspects through teaching and learning strategies focused on
encouraging curiosity and the desire to know in children. Our young
students strengthen their self-esteem, develop their understanding
of their immediate surroundings and acquire the necessary skills to
do work and express their ideas in both English and Spanish.
Primary Education
NORTHLANDS offers an all-embracing curriculum based on inquiry and
research as the ideal vehicles for learning. We provide a caring and
stimulating environment where children enjoy doing their work and
develop positive academic and inter-personal attitudes,
self-confidence and self-discipline. Students take the lead by
making the learning process their own: they are encouraged to make
choices, take decisions and ask questions, thus broadening their
range of interests and knowledge.
Secondary Education
NORTHLANDS offers high quality secondary education, awakening in
students an interest in and curiosity for the academic world,
raising an international awareness and cultivating the appreciation
of culture. During this phase students develop critical thinking
skills, creativity and autonomy. Individual talents and personal
interests are nurtured so that students can make satisfactory career
choices at the end of their school life.
