As a College that is visionary and prophetic we focus on success enabling our students to be independent and interdependent learners who are confident resilient and committed to achieving their potential. We realise we are forming young adults for the future and that an education should develop the whole child: social and emotional skills moral life religious knowledge and spiritual awareness physical and cultural gifts and academic progress.

Curriculum

The College educates girls and boys in a well-balanced intellectual cultural and sporting environment. The benefits of a co-educational learning experience at Corpus Christi College is that we are: ■Creating respect and understanding between girls and boys as intellectual peers and equals;■Encouraging a spirit of co-operation and healthy competition among boys and girls;■Offering a planned learning environment that prepares both girls and boys for the reality that is tertiary education and the working environment;■Preparing our students to be confident future leaders;■Focusing on the development of independent and interdependent learners.

Middle School

The College’s International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) for Years 7 and 10 offers an holistic approach to learning where students are encouraged to recognise relationships between school subjects and the world outside. It is an academically challenging and supportive environment to engage young adolescent learners.

Senior School

Students in the Senior Years 10 and 12 are offered an extensive academic programme astimulating learning environment and leadership opportunities to prepare them for the future. The curriculum is distinctive in its breadth and academic rigour with courses designed to stimulate the student’s intellectual development and prepare them for progress to the next level after Graduation be it tertiary or vocational study or employment.

Education Support Centre (Special Needs)

Set in a purpose built centre within the grounds of the College our 50+ students follow an individualised curriculum and enjoy a myriad of experiences and opportunities. Where possible students are grouped according to age and integrated into specialist mainstream classes and attend year appropriate classes. This strong partnership with the mainstream classes provides plenty of opportunities for the students in the Centre to develop wider friendship groups and to be involved in extracurricular College activities. The Centre’s ongoing success is made possible by the College’s caring community atmosphere and the wide support network of staff parents and students.
