Study Health Sciences AustraliaCurtin University
Curtin University, Division of Health Sciences, is one of the most comprehensive health campuses in the South-East Asian region. The Health Sciences portfolio includes laboratory-based, clinical, rehabilitation and socio-behavioural health, postgraduate courses. Recognising that the study needs of students are diverse in our postgraduate courses, the entry criteria, outcomes and modes of delivery are varied to better match student needs, experience and circumstances. Many of our courses are offered through distance education for students who would find attending oncampus classes difficult. Innovative use is made of technologies, both on and off campus, to facilitate access to study by busy professionals and people in other pressing occupations. The physical therapies at Curtin have developed graduate entry masters programs for graduates from health disciplines who are looking to change their career direction. A major reason for initiating these programs is community demand for more occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech pathologists. The programs are completed in two years full-time study. Entry to the programs is competitive. Applications are assessed on past academic achievement and work experience. Bridging assistance may be available where students need assistance with a study area.
