Our Ecological Footprint Gleeson College golden Grove recognises the ever-increasing importance of improving its ecological footprint. As a community in conjunction with local businesses an Urban Forest Development was implemented in 2008. Students have since planted over 500 trees which will offset the College’s carbon dioxide emissions recover landscape and nurture biodiversity. Around the College we have also had over 800 native plants planted by State Flora. Gleeson has also adopted various other water and electricity initiatives including recycling boxes in classrooms and the option of electronic issues of the College newsletter as the school works toward being carbon neutral.
