Study History
History at University of Western Australia
History has been taught at the University of Western Australia since March 1913, being one of the inaugural disciplines offered. The Discipline of History is located in the Arts Building on the west side of the campus facing onto the Riley Oval and comprises 14 academic staff with research staff, part-time tutors and one administrative person.
An enrolment of 875 students is usual at the undergraduate level and 30 students in the Honours Programme. The postgraduate research program has 40 postgraduates currently enrolled for the research degrees of PhD, MA and Postgraduate Diploma in Arts.
The discipline is committed to postgraduate research and supports students, where possible, to carry out research both interstate and overseas.
