Mueller College caters for students from Christian and non-Christian backgrounds with a total enrolment of 1350 students from Prep to Year 12. The aim of Mueller College is to prepare students for life in the world and eternity by applying Biblical principles through excellent education and exemplary Christian living. Mueller College offers a broad range of academic and vocational programmes catering for students of all ability levels and interests. These programmes are delivered in modern classrooms and specialist facilities with access to computers and ‘state of the art’ performing arts centre. The academic program exceeds all government requirements. Curriculum The Mueller College curriculum from Prep to Year 12 meets all the requirements of the National and State education authorities and work programmes for each subject have been written to be consistent with our Christian values. The College goal is for all students to work towards their potential. This is achieved through the provision of extension (gifted & talented) programmes as well as extensive learning support classes at all year levels and across all faculties including Vocational Education and training programmes. Extra Curricular & Mission Activities Mueller College offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities including sporting teams (including inter-school activities) cultural experiences music and musicals drama debating chess club remote controlled aero club rock-wall climbing bike hikes camping and adventure activities. Many students have also been involved in fund-raising activities that support underprivileged people or local service groups eg 40 Hour Famine and overseas missionaries and at- risk children and families. An extensive Missions program has been a priority of Mueller College since its inception in 1990. Our missions include educational support music drama craft sport and outreach and building programs. Mission teams have been initiated in Vanuatu solomon Islands china mongolia nepal as well as remote areas in outback Australia. An alternative Schoolies Mission Trip to Vanuatu has been initiated in recent years with growing popularity amongst our year 12 students. This trip provides material support and resources to individuals and remote communities of Vanuatu as well as some time for students to celebrate the completion of their school life. As a service to our local community many students have also been involved in encouragement and support activities in shopping centres and Retirement Villages through visitation working parties and special presentations. Special Features Mueller College has extensive modern facilities including a large state-of-the-art Library new primary classrooms and secondary Language art and Science facilities funded by the federal government Building the Education Revolution (BER) scheme apurpose-built rock climbing wall separate ovals for the primary and secondary students anatural lake for water sports and training aerospace facilities (MUROC) and a state of the art performing arts centre with an auditorium that can seat up to 1500 people. Mueller College also attracts overseas students who are desirous of improving their level of English as well as gaining entry to University. Some year 11 and 12 students study tertiary subjects while others are involved in school-based apprenticeships and traineeships whilst completing their senior school studies.
