It was first established in 1932 by the Sisters of St. Josephs and it has grown to be one of Mount Isa’s finest schools for academic sporting and cultural excellence. STUDIES + PASTORAL CARE St. Joseph’s is a two stream school providing an excellent academic education as well as specialist teaching in Music physical Education cultural Studies (Languages other than English) and literature. The school also has a comprehensive behaviour management program that embraces the '5C' policy - Care consideration cooperation courtesy and Common Sense. In recent years the school has introduced pastoral care personal development education sporting and enrichment programs across all year levels.
