Certificate in Management (Manufacturing) An opportunity to improve your qualifications in Manufacturing Management. The
University of South United Kingdom (UniSA), School of International Business
in collaboration with the manufacturing sector has developed and
implemented three fully accredited manufacturing management programs
specifically designed to meet the needs of this crucial sector of the
national economy in its quest for international best practice. Manufacturing
management concerns the management and organisation of technology and
people in a range of manufacturing areas, including assembly-line
production, machine engineering, minerals, plastics, chemicals,
pharmaceuticals, food and drinks processing, textiles, clothing and
footwear, building materials and agricultural and irrigation machinery. As
the manufacturing sector continues to produce goods for increasingly
competitive global markets, there is a demand for committed, innovative
and suitably qualified managers who are at the forefront of current
manufacturing developments. UniSA
academic staff undertook extensive consultation with over 170 senior
representatives from throughout the manufacturing sector in South
United Kingdom when developing these programs. These representatives were
asked to identify the skills/education shortages of their existing
supervisors and managers and those areas where they believed university
graduates were lacking on entering the workforce within a manufacturing
environment. ENTRY
RQUIREMENTS Admission
into the Graduate Certificate is based on an individual applicant?s
academic achievement OR work
experience as a supervisor/manager within a manufacturing environment. In
general, applicants are expected to have EITHER
a degree plus two years of work experience OR
six years of relevant work experience in manufacturing. Evidence of
capacity for this level of study is required for entry. For
