Scandinavian School of Brussels

Scandinavian School of Brussels - legally known as Ecole Reine Astrid - was founded in 1973. It is a non-profit-making association catering for students from nursery school through to baccalaureate.Education is based on the Nordic school systems with an international approach, offering high school students the opportunity of following the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.Language tuition is prominent in the school curriculum. French begins in the nursery and English is used as a basis for studying other subjects, such as geography, history and social science.Activities such as sport, drama and art appear on the curriculum of all pupils, and are considered an essential part of their education.Teachers represent thirteen different nationalities.Approximately 95% of high school students go to university in Scandinavia, Europe or the USA.Students frequently take part in educational trips within Belgium or to other European countries.Classes are held five days a week from the end of August to mid-June.Scandinavian School of BrusselsAddress:
