The triple-threat approach at MacEwan MacEwan's Theatre Arts Program is a full-time actor-training program that trains you in the three disciplines of singing, acting, and dancing, all delivered in a stimulating conservatory environment. Additional courses in theatre aesthetics, play analysis, music theory and ear training give you theoretical knowledge to complement your studio training. In your second year, four major public performances will give you the chance to flaunt what you have learned. In over 20 years of training actors and presenting superb live theatre, MacEwan's Theatre Arts students have tackled many ambitious shows such as Cabaret, Pal Joey, Big, Gypsy, On Your Toes and many, many others. Program Length Theatre Arts is a two year, full-time diploma program. Part Time The program is not offered on a part time basis, however, some theatre courses are offered through Arts Outreach . Practicum There is no practicum with outside companies or organizations, but you will be practicing every day! In your second year, being involved in four major public productions will give you an opportunity to get your name recognized in the vibrant Edmonton arts community.
