The English-Speaking School of LubumbashiPreparing Our Students For A Successful Future The English-speaking School of Lubumbashi (TESOL), founded in 1987, offers education in English for students from preschool (age 4) through Grade 12. All subjects (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, History, etc. ) are taught in English, with the exception of language courses (French for four periods per week and Swahili for one period per week). An International School TESOL operates as a non-profit United Methodist school under an autonomous school board. The school is an affiliate member of the Association of International Schools in Africa and a member of the International Association of Methodist Schools, Colleges, and Universities. School Year The school year runs from September through June with three terms: September-December, January through March, and April-June. There is a three-week break from late December to early January between terms 1 and 2 and a two week break in early April between terms 2 and 3. A Day School TESOL is a day school with no boarding facilities. Preparing World Leaders Our students are learning to be world leaders.
