The first school in what is now the SABIS® School Network is The International School of Choueifat, founded in 1886 in the village of Choueifat, a suburb of Beirut, Lebanon. The SABIS® School Network now consists of Member and Associate Member Schools that operate in the private and public sectors. Each school is financially and administratively independent, but every school implements the SABIS® Educational System. The SABIS® School Network presently includes 77 schools worldwide and one University in Kurdistan - Erbil. The school is an independent, non-selective and coeducational.
