A maximum class size of 14 students ensures a great deal of personal attention, and with students from over 20 different nationalities, an opportunity to flourish in a truly international environment. BIS is an accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), recognised by the French Ministry of Education, and a registered centre with the Cambridge International Examinations Board. At IGCSE level the students follow a programme of subjects with extra features: support and extended lessons either to help those students who are having difficulties or those who wish to extend their understanding and take exams a year early; French courses for all levels of competences; access to a dedicated website e-learning portal. At Advanced-Level, BIS offers a unique educational experience, ensuring our students develop to their full potential. There are three elements to the International Advanced Level Programme at Bordeaux International School : Academic Study, Citizenship and International Awareness and extra-curricular activities.
