Learning Support Programme
St Louis School of Milan is a private, international school, catering for children from ages 2 to 14 following the English National Curriculum. The school is in a modern building in the southeast of Milan within easy reach of public transport and the city centre. It has its own indoor and outdoor facilities for football, basketball and volleyball including two gymnasiums. Other facilities include a modern science laboratory, two computer rooms, theatre and resource centre. The teaching staff consists of fully qualified, experienced teachers. There are specialist teachers for PE and Music.

The Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 SATs are taken at the end of Years 2, 6 and 9.

The school programme includes swimming lessons, visits to museum/theatres, excursions, plays, performances, events and extra curricular activities such as judo, ballet, football, basketball, instrumental lessons, hip hop, chess, drama, choir, cheerleading and journalism.

The Infant School offers a stimulating environment in which children learn to be away from home and understand the importance of routines and rules. They learn to socialise and work with their peers as well as gain independence.

The Primary School (5-11 year olds) follows a broad, balanced curriculum which also provides Italian or English as a second language. The school also has the status of ‘scuola paritaria’.

The Middle School provides an academic programme which aims to support the educational and social transition from Primary to Secondary school for students from year 7-9 using modern teaching techniques and specialist teachers. On entering Middle School, students are given a new personal laptop to use at home and at school. This has enhanced motivation and learning objectives in all areas whilst keeping pace with modern technological advances.

St Louis School is the first International School in Italy to receive the prestigious Eco-Schools Green flag award which symbolises excellence in the field of environmental activity.
