School Introduction
Glendale Community College (GCC) is a public two-year community college in Glendale, Arizona. GCC has an "open admission" policy, which means that all students are given a chance to succeed. The Intensive English as a Second Language program allows interested students to improve their command of English before beginning an academic program of study. Arizona is famous for its unique and beautiful scenery, including the Grand Canyon, the Sonoran Desert, and mountains covered with pine forests. ESL Program Introduction
The Intensive ESL Program at Glendale Community College enables students to improve their English language skills before beginning an academic program of study. The program includes four courses designed to practice all the important skills of reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar. There is a language laboratory with the latest computer software to help students reinforce their lessons. And when a student has completed the English program, he or she can begin an academic program of study without applying for admission to the college. A TOEFL score is not required.
