There are 250 students of different cultures, religions and backgrounds, with 23 different nationalities in attendance at this fully accredited Council of International Schools (CIS) and IAPS affiliated School. It is also a member of COBIS. The language of learning is English, although 'Mother tongue' examinations are available on request. BMIS is on its own 23 acre, spacious, purpose built site, with light, airy classrooms geared to make the most of the coastal climate. The school is close to the main Mombasa/Malindi Road and to the beautiful Indian Ocean, giving us unique opportunities to engage in marine, conservation and community activities. The facilities cater for students aged 2 to 18 years, with a broad and balanced curriculum. Extra-curricular sport, drama, community programmes and music are available and are an important part of the whole school ethos. The School is a Cambridge International Examination Centre (CIE) for IGCSE and AS/A Levels. It also offers BTEC Business in the post IGCSE sector. Our Teaching staff are fully qualified, internationally trained, and work in conjunction with local staff. All teach in vibrant and inclusive teaching areas.
