CURTIN SARAWAK CAMPUS, MALAYSIA
Curtin's reputation for excellence in the
South East Asian region provided the basis for the Sarawak State
Government's initiative to invite Curtin to establish an international
university in Sarawak. Curtin's campus in Miri, Sarawak, commenced
operations in February 1999. In 2002, the newly-established Lutong
Campus opened and is a world-class facility where stylish,
architecturally-designed buildings complement state-of-the-art equipment
and facilities and sophisticated IT linkages provide student access to
the resources of Curtin, Western Australia. Curtin University of Technology, Sarawak Campus, Malaysia is owned and
managed by Curtin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd which is 90% owned by Sarawak State
Government agencies. Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia
has agreed to take equity in the company.

The
Sarawak Campus offers exactly the same degrees as the main campus in
Perth, Western Australia. Every aspect of the academic programs,
including course materials and examinations delivered at the Sarawak
Campus, is identical to the Curtin programs offered in Perth. Academic
staff at the Sarawak Campus are recruited internationally and are of the
highest calibre to meet Curtin's standards.
