Location Upper Hutt is located 30 kilometres from Wellington, New Zealand's capital city, in a river valley surrounded by bush and hills. It's attractive setting was used for filming scenes in the movie, Lord of the Rings. Regular train services connect Upper Hutt to Wellington, allowing easy access to museums, art galleries, theatres, shopping and tertiary institutions.
